I’m a writer and curator based in London, and a regular contributor to Dazed, i-D, 032c, Vice, Amuse, GARAGE, Wallpaper* Magazine, Broadly, The Guardian, Highsnobiety, Business of Fashion, Vogue, SHOWstudio, Modern Weekly China and The Calvert Journal.

Exhibition Post-Soviet Visions: image and identity in the new Eastern Europe, which I curated together with Ekow Eshun, ran from 23 February to 15 April at Calvert 22 Foundation in London. Post-Soviet Visions was a group show of photography exploring new visual representations of lifestyle and landscape in Eastern Europe, and encompassing fashion, self-publishing and moving image.

The topics I explore in my work as a curator and cultural critic include the politics of contemporary fashion and sportswear; youth culture; hybrid and local identities in the global cultural space; immigrant consciousness; hip hop; contemporary photography and the new wave of creativity from Eastern Europe.

I’ve worked on commercial assessments and editorial for Winkreative, Show Media London and Campbell Rey, and consult emerging fashion brands on working with press.

I also guest chair SHOWstudio panel discussions, see full list here, and appeared as a speaker at Radio BBC World Service, British Film Institute, Chelsea College of Art and ICA London.
